• Request for proposals are invited for Realization of the Mapping of Markets and Key Players in 46 Feed the Future Communes in the Regions of Sikasso, Bougouni, Koutiala and Other Related Consumer Markets of the Project's Target Value Chains in Bamako Feed the Future Mali Sugu Yiriwa, funded by USAID / Mali, (now Sugu Yiriwa) is a five-year project, launched in early 2021 and implemented by CNFA. It aims to give private and public market players in 46 municipalities in the Sikasso sub-zone the means to effect lasting and systemic change in the entire market system. Interventions aim to remove constraints and will foster beneficial relationships throughout the market system, transforming it from fragmented and informal to dynamic, organized and inclusive. The project is implemented by a consortium made up of CNFA (Cultivating New Frontiers in Agriculture), MALIMARK and Helen Keller International (HKI). Sugu Yiriwa's objective is to strengthen market systems in order to sustainably improve household income and nutritional status. CNFA's vision is to effect a change in the behavior of Feed the Future Mali Sugu Yiriwa by 2025, through the training, coaching and social interventions of 1000 input suppliers of micro, small and medium enterprises. (MSME), service providers, agrodealers, aggregators and processors - who with the support of Sugu Yiriwa, will have increased their sales by at least 25% on average and will have access to more than $ 5 million in new finance and investment. With the support of more than 100 local business development (BDS) service providers, 1.2: Scope of work : This project is implemented in 46 Feed the Future communes including Sikasso, Bougouni, and Koutiala, in the Sikasso sub-zone, Mali (see Annex 6 for the complete list of Communes). Basically, the objective of this study is to describe the market systems, their structures, their functioning, their capacities as well as the environment in which the actors of Feed the Future Mali Sugu Yiriwa evolve by the production of a graph and a database of actors while categorizing them (wholesalers, processing units and institutions). This activity will be carried out in the sub-zone as well as certain key consumer markets of Bamako for the targeted value chains.
